Skitsystem - Stigmata

Wiki crap:
Skitsystem (IPA: [ʃitsystɛm]) (Fucking System or Fucking Society, literally Shit System) was a Swedish crust punk band formed in early 1994. Their sound was heavily influenced by death metal and D-beat. The band announced in December 2007 that they were on indefinite hiatus.

Rewiew from http://www.metal-only.com/php/read_rec.php?id=1528
Even though the punk and hardcore scene is for me personally something of an untouched territory, the Swedish band SKITSYSTEM is not an unknown name for me. This crust punk band has with various line ups existed since 1994 and has now got a quite large amount of releases behind them. “Stigmata” is the title of their latest work and like always the band aims a devastating kick in the crotch at societies injustices and evils.

Raw, dirty and aggressive to the bone are some of the words and phrases that you can’t leave out when describing SKITSYSTEM and their new album “Stigmata”. Present are all the familiar elements, like the relatively simple yet intensive guitar work, the fast d-beat drumming and the unclean and almost screaming vocals that provides an outlet for all the hateful emotions that can be found in the lyrics. At times the band even seems to be flirting with a somewhat metal inspired sound, which increases the intensive and aggressive atmosphere even more. With “Apokalypsens Svarta Änglar” the band hits off with one of the better songs on the album and is followed up by other excellent songs like “Stigmata”, “Blodskam” and “Den Mörka Floden I Vårt Hjärta”. Throughout the album the high quality of the song material is maintained and the relatively short playing time enables you as a listener to keep up with the intensive sound, which in other cases could become a little bit too much, especially since the variations between the different songs aren’t that big.

With a blow in the stomach SKITSYSTEM shows that they still are a force to be reckoned with and if that punch doesn’t take your breath away, you can count with “Stigmata” finishing the work swiftly and mercilessly. The big thumb up for this excellent release.

My favourite swedish crust band, with their last full lenght.

Sunn O))) - Black One

Ill be posting the best Sunn O))) recordings here in the future, first off is my personal favorite, Black One.

From Wikpedia:

Black One is the sixth album by Sunn O))). It is a combination of both experimental and traditional Sunn O))), utilizing many guest musicians, including black metal musicians Malefic and Wrest from Xasthur and Leviathan, respectively. The band supposedly also went so far as to lock Malefic in a casket to record the vocals on "Báthory Erzsébet".

2000 copies included bonus disc titled Solstitium Fulminate, containing a live performance recorded at Roskilde in 2005.

"Orthodox Caveman", previously known as "Caveman Salad", is based on live material from the White (see Live White) tour. "Báthory Erzsébet" was recorded as a tribute to Quorthon (as well as the countess who inspired Bathory's name) and, according to an interview with Terrorizer Magazine, is loosely based "around a really slowed down riff from 'A Fine Day to Die'"

The album is not a continuation of the White1 and White2 trend. As the band has repeatedly stated, the title is written as the word "one", not the digit. It is not part of a series like the Whites, so there will not be a "Black Two."
